The bride, who wore a "huge" Chantilly lace and silk organza gown by designer Monique Lhuillier, changed quickly into a cocktail dress following the ceremony, explaining, "I wanted to get my boogie on."

Photos of Carrie Underwood’s and Mike Fisher’s wedding are in the current issue of People magazine that officially hits newsstands today, but CMT Radio was able to get a sneak peak of the pictures beforehand. Carrie hired various Nashville vendors, to decorate and design her wedding including wedding planner, Jayne Bubis. At the end of the ceremony, Carrie was anxious for the vows to be complete, and couldn’t wait to be pronounced husband and wife. “I was like just, say it. Just say it!” Carrie says. Carrie will be legally known as Carrie Fisher, but will still use her maiden name professionally.
CEREMONY :
· Carrie wore a Cathedral length veil held up with a 40-karat tiara that was a wedding gift from Mike. Her dress was strapless covered in Chantilly lace and silk organza. It was fitted just below the waist and then flared out into a ball gown. Carrie’s bouquet was complete with pink, white, and yellow peonies. Her makeup was airbrushed on to beat the heat. Carrie also chose to wear less makeup than she normally wears to award shows. The color combination was pinks and gold.
· Carrie enjoyed a glass of white wine with her mother and two sisters before the ceremony.
· Carries mother says, “I was sad because she was my baby, but I always said a prayer she’d find the right person, and I know she did.”
· Mike wore a black tux and black tie and white boutonniere.
· Mike and Carrie stood on a white platform while guests were seated in a circular formation around them. An arbor of four birch trees covered in pink flowers arched above them. A large ball of pink, white, and yellow flowers hung above them.
· Only the Maid of Honor and Best Man stood next to the couple during the ceremony. The rest of the bridal party were seated in the front row.
· The bridesmaids wore pale pink/cream dresses in different styles. The color matched the sash worn around Carrie’s waist. His cousin served as the flower girl and Carrie’s nephew was the ring barrier.
· Carrie’s entrance song was “Bridal Chorus” played by a string quartet.
· Mike says, “I was thanking God for her, for that moment. It’s something I’ll never forget.
· The aisle was marked with rose petals and white staffs were placed in the ground which also held floral ball arrangements. Guests sat in white chairs.
· When Carrie and Mike has their first kiss as a married couple Carrie’s dog Ace began barking which had everyone laughing.
· Mike says, “We were laughing, everyone was laughing, and Ace was barking.”
RECEPTION :
· The reception took place in the hotel ballroom and was covered in shades of pink complete with five-thousand crystals.
· Wedding planner Jayne Bubis says, “Carrie wanted it sparkly, pretty and pink!”
· Carrie told People, “Mike was like, ‘There’s pink everywhere!’ There was pink lightings, pink things hanging from the ceilings, flower balls, ribbons, and sparkles.”
· Guests snacked on hors d’oeuvres of sushi and crispy risotto lollipops. The meal was a four-course dinner.
· Carrie’s “wedding cake” included tiers of cupcakes with a traditional cake as the top and bottom tier. Her bouquet and bouquets from her bridesmaids were placed around the cake for decoration.
· Guests found their table assignments by reading painted hockey pucks.
· Carrie changed into a cocktail dress which resembled her wedding gown for the reception.
· “The wedding dress was huge. I wanted to get my boogie on so I had to change,” Carrie says.
· The couple had their first dance to the Christian song “Love Never Fails.” As a surprise, Carrie had Christian artist Brandon Heath perform the song.
· Carrie and Mike danced the night away with guests while a DJ played everything from Guns N’ Roses to Lionel Richie.
· “The night exceeded all the hopes I had. It was a great party!” Carrie says.
