Bicycle Rodeo, Used Bike Collection and Lee Jordon Benefit

In conjunction with Pedals for Progress charity, www.p4p.org the Rotary Club will be collecting adult or child’s bicycles in repairable condition. These bikes will be shipped to various foreign countries, so that the less fortunate will have transportation to work or school. A $10 donation is asked to cover the shipping expenses. The donation of both the bike and the $10 is tax deductible. If you cannot get your bikes here call us and we will arrange pickup prior to the event.
Bicycle Rodeo - Police cyclists from Medford Police Department will be at the rodeo. They will demonstrate some basic handling skills and address the importance of all cyclists following the rules of the road. Bicyclists ages five and up will have a chance to test their riding abilities at the fun Rodeo! The Rodeo is made up of a series of stations, each dealing with an important aspect of safe cycling. Participants will have their bicycles inspected and will then learn about and practice bicycle-handling skills that will increase their enjoyment of bicycling and could some day save their lives. Parents are invited to participate, too.
Bike Ride in Memory of Lee Jordan - Lee Jordan was an avid cyclist and ride leader for the Tri-County Cyclist and the Outdoor Club of South Jersey. Lee was a big advocate for bicycle safety and maintenance. This summer Lee was involved in a accident while riding his bike and passed away due to complications from the crash.
